Senior Software Engineer Op | Dev. Pro | Poland

We invite a highly experienced Embedded Software Engineer with strong C/C++ programming skills to join our team and help us build new applications specifically designed for Point of Sale (POS) systems, with a focus on (but not limited to) Ingenico products. Our client is an independent consulting company specializing in digital payment and digital health that provides end-to-end consulting services and innovative solutions to clients worldwide.

Is that you?

1. Strong C/C++ programming skills, familiarity with C/C++ development in a Linux environment
2. Proficiency in embedded systems development, with specific experience on Ingenico devices
3. Familiarity with Ingenico libraries and drivers, particularly those related to USB connectivity
4. Solid understanding and experience with CMake scripting
5. Experience in RSA signing and encryption/decryption or familiarity with Lib SSL
6. Experience in debugging using USB, including familiarity with debugging tools like GDB
7. A comprehensive understanding of the Linux kernel
8. Proficiency in Git version control
9. Upper-Intermediate English level
10. Demonstrated experience working on projects from inception to completion
11. Proactivity, high autonomy, and a results-oriented mindset

Desirable:

1. Experience in the POS industry or other secure environments
2. Experience or a keen interest in Android development using Flutter and Kotlin

Key responsibilities and your contribution:

In this role, you will be a crucial member of our Payment Terminals team, responsible for driving the embedded development process for custom terminal clients to meet specific client needs.

1. Lead the development of new POS solutions from project inception to architectural design
2. Contribute to the development of new features to enhance the POS experience for handheld devices in portrait mode
3. Identify and resolve technical issues and bugs
4. Help the team introduce improvements
5. Collaborate closely with the backend team to ensure efficient system integrations
