Senior Data Engineer, Lodz

Are you experienced in data engineering and cloud-based solutions? Join our dynamic and forward-thinking team as a Senior Data Engineer. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the transformation of our data platform, leading the migration of our ETL workflows from a SAS platform to the Google Cloud (GCP). In addition to ensuring a smooth migration process, you will have an impact on product architecture, driving product development, future enhancements, and optimization.

Your responsibilities

Cloud Migration: Lead and execute the migration of ETL processes and workflows to Google Cloud Platform, ensuring high performance and minimal disruption.

Code Optimization: Writing efficient cloud-native code, optimizing it for scalability, performance, and maintainability.

Product Enhancement: Contribute to the wider lifecycle of product development, identifying opportunities for functional improvements, enhancements, and innovations.

API Development: Design and build interfaces between data storage and the data transformation engine in the form of scalable and secure APIs that enable seamless data flow and integration.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, and software developers, to deliver high‑quality solutions that support our business goals.

Our requirements

Very good knowledge of data pipeline orchestration (design scalable, cloud‑native data pipelines for data transformation and aggregation based on business use cases).

Very good knowledge of GCP (or other Cloud) and creating Cloud based architecture (Big Query, Dataproc/Py Spark, Cloud Composer/Apache Airflow).

Very good knowledge of Python and SQL.

Good knowledge of API (understanding of how frontend apps interact with backend APIs in a full‑stack environment).

Good knowledge of GIT and CI/CD solutions.
