Senior Software Engineer - Scala/Spark/Hadoop/Big Data- Tietoevry Create (m/f/d)

Would you like to develop in Scala, Spark and other Big Data technology stack available on-premises and public cloud? We are now looking for a Scala/Spark/Hadoop/Big Data Developer to deliver global reporting solution for our client.

Location: Warsaw or Gdańsk

What you’ll be doing:

1. You will be responsible for a successful design and implementation of a high-performing, flexible, robust, scalable and easily maintainable global reporting solution.
2. Actively cooperating with Product Owner, Solution Architects, Analysts, Testers and Developers.
3. Working in an Agile team.

Your experience and background:

1. 3+ years of experience with functional programming in Scala.
2. Experience with writing Spark-based applications in Scala.
3. Experience with Hadoop Technology Stack: Hive, Oozie, Kafka.
4. Experience in containerized technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.

Nice to have skills, but not mandatory:

1. Deep understanding of the principles of distributed systems.
2. Experience in data engineering and building ETL/ELT pipelines.
3. Experience with performance tuning of Hadoop/Spark solutions.
4. Experience with container-based technologies: Docker, Kubernetes.
5. Experience in developing RESTful services.
6. Experience in developing web applications with Bootstrap and React JS.
7. Experience within Agile ways of working.
