Why this role matters
We are looking for a Developer Productivity Lead to join our Engineering Productivity team. This team’s mission is to empower developers to deliver high-quality software efficiently, consistently, and with confidence. You will lead initiatives that reduce cognitive load, accelerate delivery, and enhance the end-to-end developer experience, from onboarding and local development to CI/CD and production operations. You will collaborate with engineering, product, and platform teams to define productivity strategy and ensure software engineers can innovate quickly, securely, and with high quality. This role blends engineering leadership, product thinking, and change management.
What you'll do
Collaborate with engineers across teams to identify friction points and productivity challenges and proactively address them.
Lead technical initiatives, defining requirements, technical implementation and leading execution.
Evaluate and implement tools for source control, CI/CD, local dev, and workflow automation.
Work with architecture and development teams to define and evolve golden paths, development workflows, and reference architectures
Define and track developer productivity metrics (e.g., DORA + Dev Ex measures).
Work cross-functionally to embed Dev Ops and platform engineering best practices.
Act as a thought leader for engineering excellence and modern development practices.
Maintain documentation and provide onboarding support for tooling and processes.
Advocate for engineering best practices, code quality, and continuous improvement.
What you'll bring
Required Skills and Experience
7+ years in software engineering or Dev Ops
Proven experience leading developer productivity or internal tooling initiatives.
Expertise with CI/CD systems, Ia C, and cloud-native tech (Kubernetes preferred).
Strong understanding of SDLC, Dev Ops, and modern delivery practices.
Experience measuring and improving engineering workflows and developer experience.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change-driving skills.
Desirable
Familiarity with DORA, SPACE framework, and developer experience research.
Background working in distributed/remote engineering organizations.
Experience with modern AI-assisted development tooling and automation
