Overview
We are seeking a Chief Accountant to oversee general ledger activities, ensure compliant financial reporting, and lead a high-performing accounting team in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee all general ledger activities and ensure accurate month-end and year-end closings.
Ensure full compliance with IFRS and local statutory requirements.
Manage tax filings, audits, and statutory reporting.
Supervise and mentor the accounting team.
Lead and support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
Provide financial insights to support strategic decisions.
Monitor cost structures and identify efficiency opportunities.
Collaborate with business units to ensure financial alignment.
Act as a key liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
Partner with HR, Procurement, and Operations to ensure financial integrity across processes.
Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems.
Your qualifications
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant role.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and Polish GAAP.
Experience in controlling or financial planning & analysis.
Good command of English.
ACCA qualification or progress toward certification is highly preferred.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel.
Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
