We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Research to lead and expand our research operations across the CEE region. This high-profile, market-facing role will focus on developing in-house thought leadership, building a cohesive regional perspective, and supporting business development through impactful market insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the research strategy for the CEE region, aligning with Savills’ global vision while reflecting the unique dynamics of the region.
- Investing in Data & Regional Insights: Develop comprehensive CEE datasets and integrate in-country insights into a cohesive regional narrative to provide a broader perspective on market trends.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor two research teams (Poland and the Czech Republic), fostering collaboration and ensuring the delivery of high-quality outputs.
- Innovative Research Topics: Drive thought leadership by producing wide-reaching, innovative, and discussion-provoking research on real estate trends and broader economic themes in the CEE region.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with clients, internal teams and external partners to deliver tailored research and data-driven recommendations.
- Presentation Excellence: Represent Savills as a keynote speaker at industry events, conferences, and research forums, enhancing the company’s visibility and reputation in the market.
- Business Development Support: Partner with Savills’ business development teams to leverage research insights in pitches, presentations and client engagements to grow our business across the CEE region and Savills visibility.
- Data Management: Leverage technology (innovation & automation) and analytics tools to enhance the depth and quality of research outputs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience (minimum 7-10 years) in real estate and / or financial market research or a related field, ideally within the CEE region, complemented by a depth of knowledge in global, political and economic aspects.
- Master’s degree in Economics, Real Estate, International Business, or related field.
- Strong track record of producing high-quality research and thought leadership materials, insightful reports.
- Exceptional presentation and public-speaking skills.
- Client-facing experience, with a demonstrated ability to support business development and build strong and long-term client relationships.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, drawing conclusions, good forecasting skills;
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with visualization platforms is a plus.
- Experience in people management and mentoring.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Language skills: Proficiency in English plus one other European language is an advantage (Czech, Polish, Slovakian) preferred.
