DescriptionSummaryThe Benefits Partner provides support to the Total Rewards team under the supervision of the Director of Benefits. Researches, analyzes and supports the administration of various employee benefit programs to ensure that health benefits remain competitive, cost effective, and legally compliant. Programs include-but are not limited to: life, health, disability insurance, pension and related retirement programs. Primary Responsibilities Investigates and resolves eligibility, plan interpretation and other items that require intervention between the employee and vendors.Provide resolution for escalations by working with vendors, Finance, HR and Legal.Develops and maintains knowledge of all health, welfare, and retirement plans and policies.Leads benefit projects such as implementing new vendors, evaluating/documenting processes, and analyzing trends/issues.Assists with benefit costs reporting and analysis.Ensures compliance with ERISA, DOL, IRS and assists with the annual plan audit, 5500s and plan testing.Assists with open enrollment activities including project management, communication creation/review and system preparation/testing.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation BA/BS degree or a combination of relevant experience and education Experience 5+ years' experience in benefits. Essential Skills Ability to work independently and possess initiative when carrying through assignments. Experience building positive working relationships at all levels of the organization. Experience researching and analyzing information from a variety of sources. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and/or sensitive business information.
