We are looking for a person that would like to join them as a Software Engineering Manager.On a daily basis, you will:Coordinate with Business users and Middle Office Technology leadership to maintain and refine existing applications within your domain, and deliver functional enhancements supporting the Firm’s fast-evolving business requirementsParticipate with department leaders and other managers in drafting the system design of a totally new platform for the Middle Office to modernize transaction processing, trade management, settlement workflows, position keeping, profit and loss calculations, and data dissemination across the firm and beyondIn the context of the modernized platform, spearhead the creation of components within your team’s sphere of responsibilityTrain, encourage, and lead members of your group to create a cohesive and effective teamWork with the Heads of Middle Office Technology to strengthen the department overall through your leadership of a specific vertical within the larger organizationContribute to budgeting, project and resource planning, performance management, and recruitment, as well as career development initiativesPromote a culture of cooperation and maintain close working relationships with other technology managers and teams to advance cross-team initiativesWork with Support teams to manage and resolve operational issuesRequirements:10+ years of work experience managing technology teams within the financial services domain10+ years of programming experience with Java or c# as well as SQL and databasesExperience working with investment systems supporting trading, post-execution trade flows, trade lifecycle, position and PnL generation, and portfolio managementFluent in the software development life cycle and software development toolsExceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both technical professionals as well as business users and executive leadershipDeep familiarity with modern technological development paradigms including microservices, messaging, cloud-native, multithreading, advanced unit testing, and othersDesire to maintain technical skills through code reviews and individual contributionsCommitment and adherence to the highest ethical standardsThe offer:High base salarySports cardPrivate life insurancePrivate medical and dental care, with a vision allowancePrivate pension schemeVolunteer opportunitiesSupport for employee-led affinity groups representing women, people of color, and the LGBT+ communityBusiness travel accident insuranceEmployee assistance programEducational assistance reimbursement
