Opis

Reuters is seeking an Editorial Operations Assistant to join its administrative team in Gdansk.

The role focuses on providing support to the Global Pictures Desk, a team that processes images by Reuters news photographers around the world.

The successful candidate will be highly organized and flexible, an expert in the preparation and management of spreadsheets and responsive to the needs of a busy and growing newsroom.

S/he will play a key role in managing staff rosters, compiling diaries of upcoming news events and organizing travel, logistics and other tasks in a bureau that covers international news from around the world.

Fluent English and Polish is essential for this role.

Knowledge of other European languages is an advantage.

About the Role: As an Editorial Operations Assistant, you will be responsible for: Creating and managing staff rosters for the Global Pictures Desk; Tracking annual leave and sickness requests, filing overtime reports, calculating night shift allowance Assisting local management with record keeping, managing contracts and correspondence Supporting the team with travelling to major events, accreditations, visa applications, and more Administrative support for departmental projects Cooperating with vendors and internal sourcing department Processing invoices in coordination with the Thomson Reuters finance and accounting teams Managing our fleet of company vehicles Organization and coordination of company and customer events Cooperating with the wider European Editorial Operations Team About You: As an Editorial Operations Assistant, you will likely have: Ability to work in a highly complex work environment Ability to multitask and meet changing deadlines, time management and attention to detail Strong problem-solving, project management and collaboration skills Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Fluency in Polish and English (knowledge of other European languages is welcome)Advanced level experience in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Project, Excel, Power Point, Share Point Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision#LI-KK1 What's in it For You?You will join our inclusive culture of world-class talent, where we are committed to your personal and professional growth through: Hybrid Work Model: We’ve adopted a flexible hybrid working environment (2-3 days a week in the office depending on the role) for our office-based roles while delivering a seamless experience that is digitally and physically connected Wellbeing: Comprehensive benefit plans; flexible and supportive benefits for work-life balance: two company-wide Mental Health Days Off; work from another location for up to a total of 8 weeks in a year, 4 of those weeks can be out of the country and the remaining in the country, Headspace app subscription; retirement, savings, tuition reimbursement, and employee incentive programs; resources for mental, physical, and financial wellbeing.
