At Euroclear, the Senior Scrum Master plays a pivotal role in driving agile delivery and fostering high‑performing teams. The role is based within the Group Business Solutions (GBS) division.
Responsibilities
Lead up to two Scrum teams, locally and offshore, ensuring efficient execution of all Scrum ceremonies—sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Partner with Product Owners to manage intake, prioritize backlogs, and resolve conflicts, helping teams navigate change smoothly.
Coach team members in Agile frameworks, guiding them toward greater Scrum maturity in environments where Agile adoption is evolving.
Act as an Agile ambassador, engaging stakeholders outside the Scrum teams to clarify their role in supporting delivery.
Define project governance, scope, and responsibilities across business and technical domains.
Oversee business, technical, organizational, and financial aspects of assigned change initiatives.
Collaborate with Corporate Procurement to negotiate and manage contracts with external suppliers.
Support feasibility analysis of backlog items in partnership with Product Owners and Enterprise/Application Architects.
Track performance and achievements through regular reviews against defined targets.
Your profile
Proven experience in wholesale financial markets, ideally with knowledge of UK equities or bond settlement.
Demonstrated success in managing hybrid and offshore teams, with at least two teams under your leadership.
Certified Scrum Master with a strong track record of delivering change through Agile practices.
Experience leading medium to large‑scale projects across the full lifecycle using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Certification in a recognized project management framework (e.g. Prince2, PMI) is highly desirable.
Comfortable operating in a matrix management environment, engaging effectively with both senior and junior colleagues.

The Group Business Solutions (GBS) division ensures the competitiveness of Euroclear by delivering reliable and sustainable IT solutions for the financial securities markets. Our technical teams deliver new IT solutions and improve existing applications for both our internal and external clients. We deploy changes into the production environment in a controlled and structured way that doesn't compromise production stability and we ensure applicative production support.
