About The Job
Unlimit holds various regulatory permissions in banking and payments across multiple regions, including EU/EEA, UK, Latin America, Asia, India, and Africa. The Legal Department provides inhouse legal services and support across the group. The role involves designing, managing, and supervising legal tasks related to industry regulations, international aspects, and compliance, working closely with departments and C-level executives.
As Deputy Regional Head of Legal, you will support legal operations, develop your skills, and grow within a team of specialists, handling diverse legal matters across the group.
Key Duties And Responsibilities

Support and manage the Legal function for a multi-country business.
Provide legal guidance to various departments on all legal and regulatory matters.
Organize and oversee legal tasks and projects.
Train legal team members on various legal matters and processes.
Monitor performance, solve complex issues, and ensure legal operations' continuity and compliance.
Proactively identify legal problems and develop strategic solutions.
Design and improve legal processes and systems.
Handle diverse legal tasks including contract review, negotiations, licensing, compliance, and legal analysis.
Participate in licensing processes, manage relationships with authorities and third parties.
Manage legal projects, research, provide guidance, and handle disputes and claims.
Ensure effective corporate governance and legal entity management.
Collaborate with external service providers and internal teams.
Participate in cross-regional projects and develop budgets for legal tasks.

Your Experience And Mindset

Law degree; LLM or professional qualifications preferred.
5-10 years of managerial legal experience in payments or banking sectors within the EU/UK, with multinational exposure.
Expertise in EU and UK financial regulation; interest in cryptocurrency regulation.
Fluent in English; additional languages advantageous.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving, proactive, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
