ABOUT A ROLE
We are looking for a Junior QA Automation Engineer to join Egnyte. It's an opportunity to grow your testing and automation skills while working with our Desktop Applications team on exciting and innovative features.
Together with other QA engineers and software developers, you will ensure the quality of our applications created for Egnyte's clients, used by hundreds of thousands of users. You will become the guardian of our product's quality. Your voice will matter at every stage of your work. As your skills grow, so will your responsibility.

WHAT YOU'LL DO: Develop, maintain and manage our test automation framework in Python, helping us scale our testing efforts. Develop test plans and perform manual tests for our desktop applications on both mac OS and Windows, identifying and reporting bugs with detailed documentation. Collaborating with other QA engineers, developers, UX specialists, and product owners, providing feedback regarding potential risks or dependencies, and coming up with alternative solutions. YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL SKILLS: Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical discipline, preferably Computer Science or a related field At least 2 year of commercial experience in testing with elements of automation, preferably on desktop platforms (Mac OS, Windows). Knowledge of Python for test automation and scripting, Motivated and innovative approach to testing. Ability to create effective test cases and execute them. Knowledge about how to apply testing methodologies (functional and non-functional) to real life scenarios. English skills that allow you to effectively communicate and perform your tasks. Passion for solving problems, improving things, and advocating for quality. Curiosity and strong attention to detail.
NICE TO HAVE: Knowledge of networking protocols, and tools like Postman, Wireshark, Kibana, Big Query. Knowledge of operating systems principles and experience in working with public clouds
