CD Projekt RED started developing AAA games back in 2002. The studio received worldwide recognition thanks to its bestselling RPG brand “The Witcher”. The first installment of the series hit the shelves in 2007 and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings had its premiere in May 2011. In April 2012 this game was released for Xbox 360, as the Enhanced Edition. Both games developed by CD Projekt RED received prestigious awards and are praised by both critics and gamers.
The second part of The Witcher has been developed using the studio’s bespoke tech – the REDengine. This tool allows CD Projekt RED to create complex and non-linear games with state of art visuals. The studio plans to use its cutting edge technology to develop multiplatform titles, designed for a mature and demanding audience.
CD Projekt RED is based in Warsaw (Poland) and employs a creative and international team of specialists from different fields: from programmers, animation and graphic designers to its own marketing team.
