Offer Description
In connection with the announcement of the competition, the Department of Materials Science and Non-Ferrous Metals Engineering is seeking a candidate for the position of
research assistant. The responsibilities of the successful applicant will include conducting research on the casting process of non-ferrous metals using ultrasonic vibrations, with particular emphasis on zinc alloys, as well as investigating their electrical, mechanical, and physical properties. Knowledge of scanning electron microscopy techniques is also required, as they will be applied in the analysis of materials. In addition, the employee will be involved in the implementation of research projects, including collaboration with international research teams
We anticipate full-time employment, for an indefinite period after the trial period.

Skills/Qualifications
Master of Science in Engineering degree, with ongoing doctoral proceedings in the discipline of Materials Engineering (preference will be given to candidates whose doctoral dissertation includes elements of ultrasonic-assisted casting, in particular of zinc alloys); demonstrated aptitude for scientific research and teaching activities; possession of formal teaching qualifications will be considered an asset.
Documented record of scientific achievements (in the form of publications, patents, and patent applications) in the field of non-ferrous metals and their alloys.
Documented participation in research projects as well as application-oriented accomplishments in the area of non-ferrous metals materials engineering.
Documented utilitarian scientific achievements (authorship or co-authorship of patents and/or industrial designs).
Proven research experience in crystallization processes of non-ferrous metals assisted by ultrasonic vibrations.
Proficiency in the operation of laboratory equipment for testing the electrical, mechanical, and physical properties of non-ferrous metals and their alloys; working knowledge of scanning electron microscopy techniques.
Active participation in scientific and technical conferences.
Readiness to collaborate with international research teams and to undertake short-term research visits abroad.
Documented knowledge of English at a minimum B2 level, and preferably German at a minimum B1 level, as well as fluent knowledge of Polish.
