Job Responsibilities:
- Designing solutions using Snowflake and ETL/ELT workflows
- Monitoring the health of the Azure platform as part of process efficiency and failure-free operations
- Solving current problems/obstacles in cooperation with clients
- Data acquisition and modeling
- Data flow monitoring
Candidates are expected to:
- Have a total of 2+ years in IT (preferably DW/ETL/BI projects)
- Ability to identify system-level bottlenecks in the database and recommend solutions
- Experience with gathering end-user requirements and writing technical documentation
- Lead all aspects of database security both at infrastructure and application level
- Lead cross-regional data replication and be an expert at database recovery features
- Ability to define and automate DBA functions
- Strong expertise in Azure, specifically in storage and security services
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Knowledge of Azure data movement and transformation capabilities (Azure Data Factory, Data Lake Analytics, Data Bricks, Stream Analytics)
Nice to have:
- Experience in Snowflake (1+ years)
- Previous experience with ETL tools (for example, ODI, SAS DI, IBM Data Stage, Informatica, MS SSIS)
- Experience in Snowflake performance tuning, capacity planning, handling cloud spend and utilization
- Ability to articulate and implement Snowflake standard methodologies and find inventive ways of implementing them
