Product EngineerResponsibilities:Provide technical support to Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Quality Team, and OperationsLead alternative component worst case circuit analysisLead internal and external (supplier driven) electrical CR/CN analysis and processingSupport product documentation creation and markupProvide support for current production and new product launchesSupport operations and customer satisfaction in the execution of line pull First Time Quality (FTQ) analysis on Electronic / Electrification products (Utilize statistical problem-solving tools where applicable)Participate in root cause analysis of line pulls, customer returns and validation failures (electrical)Assist SQE’s in resolution of supplier issues using structured problem solving methodsSupport procurement, installation, qualification and operation of equipment used in PE Lab, prototyping, validationReport identified safety risks and opportunity for improvementParticipate in projects related to improving PE lab analysis efficiencyWork with customer satisfaction to lead the efforts to improve FTQ on production productsSupport analysis of customer assembly plant returnsSupport on time warranty analysis on customer returnsInitiate measures to improve customer RPPM (Returned Parts Per Million) and warranty CPV (Complaints Per Vehicle) / IPTV (Incident Per Thousand Vehicles)Evaluate and approve supplier component substitutionsLead supplier change evaluation and provide technical support to the customersInitiate and implement Material Cost Improvement Process (MCIP) projects on productsWork with customer satisfaction to lead product scrap reduction initiativesResponsible for implementing corrective actions of nonconforming product or processes (including stopping production if necessary) and inform management promptly of such actionsHas the authority to stop shipment and stop production if product requirements are not met. In case of safety related issues all employees are authorized to stop production.
