Job Summary:
The SAP RISE Acceleration Program (RAP) Technical Architect plays a critical role in accelerating SAP RISE on Azure platform for strategic enterprise customers.
This position is part of a collaborative initiative between Microsoft and SAP ECS, designed to streamline SAP RISE onboarding through structured engagement phases.
As a key member of the Cloud Factory, the Architect for SAP Migrations leads technical workshops with the customer and SAP to evaluate architecture design, provides expert analysis and recommendations, and supports Microsoft Proactive Services (MPS).
Job Responsibilities:
High degree of subject matter expertise in below: SAP Architecture, SAP Products, SAP migrations, DATA center migrations, related aspects System design, sizing, installations methods, how migrations should be dealt, how new systems should be build, tested and how the entire plan should be executed Interface points with BASIS team, Infrastructure teams, foundation aspects like DNS, Identity, SSO Good understanding of Various SAP products and integration points ECC/BW/PI/SRM/APO/EWM/Open Text/Solution Manager/and so on. Experience in SAP best practices for installations, performance, tuning Experience of HANA and S/4 will be added advantage. Hands-on experience in Python, Ansible and Shell Scripting Process automation using Shell scripting, python and Ansible Migrations experience involving architectural decisions, HA/DR setup and Implementation of designed architecture for any of the Cloud based platforms Understand the project and prepare specification, Migration approach Specification for server build teams, BASIS team and interface teams Plan the project and drive execution Architect Azure Tenant Integration Assess and provide recommendations based on Microsoft and SAP best practices to ensure seamless integration of the customer's Azure environment with SAP Rise. Governance Implementation Apply Azure landing zone governance principles to SAP interfaces, covering policy enforcement, monitoring, tagging, and cost management. Security Sentinel for SAP SAP BTP Connectivity Guidance Assist in designing secure and performant connectivity between SAP RISE and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). Customer & Partners Provide recommendations to stakeholders on Azure and SAP RISE architecture to support informed decision-making and successful deployments. Documentation & Presentation Create technical documentation, assessment reports, and customer-facing presentations outlining findings and recommended architecture integrations for SAP RISE on Azure engagements
Technical Skills: Proven experience in Azure architecture and SAP Basis deployments on Azure Strong understanding of Azure Networking, Identity, Security and Governance Good understanding of SAP architecture and operational models Hands on SAP Basis Experience on SAP RISE Experience with Microsoft Entra, Sentinel, and Azure Policy Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Excellent presentations skills Azure certifications (e.g., AZ 900, AZ 120, AZ-305, AZ-500)
